Mexico, Montreal, Red Rocks (w/the Colorado Symphony)

Thank you all so much for asking what the title of the third record will be. We’ll share that with you soon, we promise.
We’d like to announce that, though the record will not be out for a while, we will be debuting songs from it (accompanied by the Colorado Symphony) next month at this place:
Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on September 20th.
We’ll be performing in collaboration with the Colorado Symphony.
Devotchka will also be there. We hope you will, too.

Corona Capital Festival, Oct. 13 – MEXICO
We’ve been waiting for this for a while. After years of emails and comments, we’re thrilled to be performing for the first time ever in Mexico on October 13th at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City. Also playing: the Black Keys, New Order, Florence + the Machine, Sleigh Bells, Cat Power, etc. Suffice to say, no podemos esperar.

Osheaga in Montreal this Sunday, August 5th
We’ll also be performing at Montreal’s Osheaga festival this coming Sunday at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Tickets HERE.

I’m from México, I bought(imported) both albums and the bluray “All I ever wanted”, I’m a HUGE fan of your music, but unfortunately i won’t be able to see you at Corona Capital Festival 🙁 …Hope you can perform later in Mexico (perhaps near Queretaro), and I promise you I will buy a vip ticket for your concert.
Wish I could get to Colorado, the amphitheatre looks amazing.

¡En lo que fue su primer espectáculo en México, yo, estuve ahí!
Más de doce horas de viaje incómodo en un asiento que no se reclinaba, dolor de espalda, de piernas, de estomago y hasta de cabeza, pescar un resfriado y una tos que me sigue molestando, cansancio a más no poder, pasar hambre y esperar parado más de una hora entre gente sudada y mi’reyes con marihuana por el otro lado, sólo para estar en la primera fila por la banda por la que viaje y me endeude, por mi banda favorita… Verlos, y escucharlos, con una sonrisa de sorpresa totalitaria dónde ni ellos mismos se imaginaban tener tantos fans en una tierra tan lejana. Todo eso y más lo que se me olvida mencionar valió la pena, de pronto Mikell Jollett (vocalista) subió por la estructura de metal y como a 5 metros arriba del público comenzó a cantar y la muchedumbre enloqueció, pero definitivamente el mejor momento fue cuando se bajo del escenario acercándose a la valla para saludar a su público, y (ME) nos acerco el micrófono para cantar el coro, de la nada algún chilango (seguramente) lanzó una cerveza contra su pecho (¡playeras mojadas!) y él tan bueno se atacó a carcajadas, y siguió con el show y sus fans de hueso colorado, en lo que comenzó a ‘chocarla’ y fui uno de esos con su MIKELL JOLLETT HIGH FIVE!
