Free Shows in Trenton, Boston, Atlanta, and Scottsdale…
Good morning,
The earth was shaking early Monday morning here in Los Angeles. If you’ve never been in an earthquake, it’s kind of terrifying and exhilarating. Equal parts doomsday and roller coaster. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
We are playing four shows to work on new songs we’ve written for the new record. They will be in four cities nationwide. Jack Daniels is sponsoring the whole thing.

You can get free tickets by going to the Jack Daniels website. You must be 21 to attend. (Sorry to those under 21. We promise to get you back when we swing back into town with shows sponsored by a milk company or something.)

Thu Mar 25 – Trenton, NJ – Kat Man Du – FREE TIX
Wed Apr 7 – Boston, MA – Royale – FREE TIX
Sat Apr 10 – Atlanta, GA – The Loft – FREE TIX
Mon Apr 12 – Scottsdale, AZ – Martini Ranch – FREE TIX
We’d also like to point out that we will probably play some songs from the first record too.
We’re also putting the finishing touches on our live DVD/CD from our Walt Disney Concert Hall performance in December. It’s called “All I Ever Wanted,” and it’s part concert, part documentary. We’ll have a release date in the very near future.

So…does it mean you got tickets if you were able to register? I mistakenly registered for Trenton NJ and will gladly mail my tickets to someone who can attend.
Now just hoping I got Boston or Scottsdale, both of which are doable for me.
Can’t wait for the documentary…I was there!

These 4 cities are so lucky! If the airline’s stars align, I may travel to see you at one of these. But I really hope to see you in San Francisco soon. Your whole band is so talented!
So when is this new album expected to be released?
The Boston site said that if you were lucky enough to get a ticket they would send you an email 7 days prior to the date of the concert. Pain in the ass for those of us who need babysitters, but it will all work out I’m sure! Can’t wait!
Actually, the Boston show is at a place called the Royale (on Tremont St., site of the old Roxy). I believe the confusion is due to the fact that the show *will be* EPIC, but it’s at the Royale. 😉

Come back to England and do the shows!! They’ll be lots of people willing to pay to come to gigs of new tracks, and it’s not even p***ing down 🙂

O’man….I SO want to see you guys again!!! Why do you have to be a resident of certain states to be able to attend?!?! I was willing to get some friends together to split the gas on a road trip but now we can’t even do that, so sad. Come back to Ohio soon please!!! I can’t wait for the dvd release!!! I filled out the Jack D form within a couple hrs of the posting and it was a sure bet for me to get tix for the Boston show, now it’s less than a wk before the show and I still have not heard. Anyone know how this works?

I missed the Jack Daniels deadline, but registered anyway in hopes of a lucky break. I’ve been watching for an Airborne show in the southeast and can’t believe I missed the initial posting. Last night I called the venue and a very nice lady in the ticket office told me that I could pick up 2 tickets if I’m one of the first five at their office today. So…being the rabid fan that I am, I took a day off of work and drove down to ATL to get my golden tickets. Scored my tickets. Woo hoo! Can’t wait til Saturday.
Anyone get notice of Scottsdale tickets yet? I registered the day it was posted on fb and am so hoping to go.

What did you think of the show in Atlanta?
Awesome show in Atlanta! My husband and I saw you in Dallas last October and were totally thrilled to find the Atlanta show. Mikel was hilarious about the Atlanta girl song. Had a blast and can’t wait for the new album although we think you guys are better live. Great job everyone! Thanks again 🙂
Great show in Scottsdale last night! Had sooo much fun. All the JD & cokes didn’t hurt either. Can’t wait for the new album!
Donna and I loved the Atlanta show – total blast. Anna jumped into the crowd and came out with only one shoe on – she got the other one back quickly, though.
I thought the band was having a great time – alot of energy – and Mikel’s voice was in great form.
In fact, this is the 5th show I’ve seen and the only ones that may have been comparable were the shows in London at the KOKO last May and the Louisville Orchestra gig. Those shows were EPIC.
It seemed the new songs they played were just about as appreciated by the crowd as the more familiar ones. That’s a good omen for the new record coming out. Mikel, when is that happening!?
Jeff – The Atlanta show was freakin’ awesome. Civil Twilight definitely won some new fans too. I got to meet Darren and Steven before the show since my wife and I got there so early. We were within arms reach of Mikel at the very front and I actually was surprised when Anna decided to crowd surf. I had to grab her and swing her back on stage. I actually got her shoes (she lost both) back to her.

Something new, wine and poses, happiness, this losing, It doesn’t mean a thing, gasoline, the kids are ready to die, tokyo radio (was on their setlist but they didn’t play it), i’m on fire, wishing well, half of something else, midnight, goodbye horses, all i ever wanted. Encore: moving on, something you owe, and missy.
Saw these guys twice in manchester (england) last year, awesome, my mate james got told to shush by bassist for coming in to soon on ’cause losing you is something i always did sooooo well, at the academy, can’t wait for them to come back over here !
p.s. It’s St Georges day today, hoorah england !
