OTTAWA AND MONTREAL CANCELED

March 5, 2009

Good afternoon,

While we’ve been able to play some really great shows these past few days in Minneapolis, Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Toronto, they’ve been taking their toll on Mikel’s laryngitis, which hasn’t yet fully recovered. We were really hoping we wouldn’t have to cancel any more shows, but yesterday Mikel came down with 102-degree fever. It seemed to aggravate his laryngitis, so he went to see a doctor here in Toronto, who actually told him we needed to cancel last night’s show. That didn’t happen (thankfully), but things have gotten somewhat worse this morning.

Mikel’s resting up in Toronto today, and unfortunately, we have to cancel our next two dates in Ottawa (3/5) and Montreal (3/6). We know it’s starting to sound repetitive, but we really, really hate that we have to do this again, especially in Canada, where people have been so supportive of the band. We wouldn’t cancel shows unless it were absolutely necessary. We hope you understand.

All tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.

We’ll be back to Ottawa and Montreal very soon, we promise.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to give a BIG thank you to Mikel and the band for MAKING the Minneapolis show I know you were only at half capacity but even at half capactiy the show was phenominal! Steven, you have great taste in music thanks for gettin the band to cover Goodbye Horses by Q Lazarus! When I found out my favorite band was covering one of my fav. obscure songs I flipped out and was soooo excited and you really do a good cover of that song. Innocence live brought tears to my eyes that song really touches my inner being-it reminds me of a hard time I had when I was 21. I found out I had a rare disease, like Mikel and that day was devastating for me and when that song builds up to the opening line when Mikel belts out: “I lost my innocence today…” I always ALWAYS tear up and that added lyrics he sings with the opening of the song really really touch me as well. But Mikel I gave you a gift of green tea and i know you hate green tea but its good for you and heals most throat ailments my dad who is a throat cancer survivor swears thats what healed him sooo have a cup?! But Take Care Mikel, get better soon. You guys are amazing and I spin your record at the place I work all the time so other people can hear your music and love it as much as I do. Thanks for being sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome! -J. Pond

    OTTAWA OTTAWA OTTAWA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

PLEASE RESCHEDULE!!!! I hope you get better and the band returns to OTTAWA with a bang.

Now, I’m not gonna lie I am mad because instead of a reschedule, webtickets just gave me a refund. I don’t want a refund, I want a SHOW.

The worst part is that a bud of mine saw the show in Toronto and he said it rocked.

    Waiting for your return.

Oh crapola. I’ve been looking forward to the Montreal show for weeks. A bunch of us were rallying to come up from Vermont…well, the voice needs to heal, of course, but what a major bummer.

I know you all must feel terrible disappointing fans, however the most important thing is to get better – we want many more songs and shows from you guys (Anna included there) in the future!

Love the apology video, Noah its nice to see you “up close” and the whole thing was very witty.

Of course, I selfishly want the NYC show to happen on Sunday but if not then I’ll catch you all next time.

Be well, get rest, drink warm tea!

we had planned to attend the montreal show but ended up going to last night’s show in dc (we live in hershey, pa) & it was a great show. great intensity / hunger in their playing & they were obviously having fun which we were glad to see after the recent voice issues. looking forward to hearing more exceptional music from them & hope to be able to see them play live again sometime.

You REALLY need to get some rest, Mikel! We all know hoe difficult it is to cancel shows, but you need to let your body catch up. We love ya here in C-Bus and can’t ait til next time! Peace
