Yahoo music voting, new acoustic video, Northwest shows…
Good morning–
A light rain is falling outside the Days Inn in Eugene, Oregon as we stumble towards the van with our guitars. Two nights prior it was San Francisco and madcap wilding into the night. Before that London. Seems like a lifetime ago from this quiet college town. Such is touring.
Our video for “Sometime Around Midnight” is still in the running at Yahoo music.
You can vote for it here . The word on the street is that it’s very close right now and we of course would love your vote. We’re also honored to be included with the other bands in the contest. Like Mayor Daly used to say: “vote early and vote often.
You can vote as many times as you like (simply refresh the page). To do so, follow this link :

Scroll down to where it says “Users’ Choice” and click on our box to vote (it’s the first one). To watch the video, click on the little TV icon.
In other news, we’d like to announce that we will be playing the NPR show World Cafe in a couple weeks.
Also, we’re very excited to announce that a great new band from San Francisco will be joining us at the El Rey.
the Morning Benders will be on just before us, just after Radars to the Sky.
Check out some stuff on their MySpace :

The acoustic video for our song “Something New” (week 8 of our 10 part acoustic series) will be up on our myspace page within the hour. It was shot on a boat driving through the harbor at Marina Del Rey. Good times.
We’ll be playing Towne Lounge in the lovely berg of Portland, Oregon on Thursday, then Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle on Friday.
More to come soon.
We miss you and love you and wish we could have clapped along to the footsteps of the great Pre as he circled the track a block from here, molecule by molecule removing the rubber from the soles of his shoes–
p.s. – we’d just like to say for the record that the Los Angeles music scene owes a great debt to Mr. Kevin Bronson who focused the national eye on Silver Lake with his relentless reporting on our little neighborhood. Thank you, Kevin.
